Rising from the ashtray of sometimes-active Chicago band: American Standard, two brothers and their dearest old friends have solemnly decided to stay together, and citing irreconcilable creative similarities, they've re-debuted under a new name: Ted Striker.

These four, drawing inspiration from bands such as The Lawrence Arms, Lucero, and Jawbreaker, have been pairing wistful, melancholic lyrics with hard-hitting, yet twangy and foot-stomping, music for over a decade.

Having had a strong musical connection to each other since day one, they're only just recently feeling competent enough to play for other people more than twice a year.

When other bands had the fish, surely you can count on Ted Striker to land the plane.
